This newest core stereomicroscope is optimized for high quality image capture of very large sample territory or very high detail for magnified samples. This is accomplished by a broad (25:1) effective zoom range from 6.3X magnification (Xmm field size) to 250X (Xum field size). It features polarized y-arm oblique lighting, several transmission white light imaging methods, and a specialized darkfield imaging light module. It does not have fluorescent imaging options. Special features of this system include automated Z-axis focus control for extended depth of field image capture, high dynamic range imaging mode for reflective surfaces, switchable dual optical path stereoscope mode (3D eyepiece visualization) and single optical path macroscope mode (accurate depth representation/calculation). Nikon Elements software provides image capture, basic measurement and image analysis, specialized processing modes, and scaling options, and timelapse imaging options.
